Conference on Waterfowl of Northern Eurasia

RBM_MG_7071 by John AndersonThe Goose, Swan and Duck Study Group of Northern Eurasia and the Wetlands International / IUCN SSC Goose Specialist Group will be jointly hosting an international conference “Waterfowl of Northern Eurasia:  Research, conservation, and sustainable use”. The conference will be held on 30 November – 6 December 2015 in Salekhard, Russia and supported by the Government of Yamalo-Nenetskiy Autonomous Okrug, A.N. Severtsov Institute of Ecology and Evolution, and the Institute of Geography, Russian Academy of Sciences.

The conference is co-organised by the leading Russian and foreign scientific institutions and NGOs. A wide range of problems, with focus on Arctic waterfowl, the East Asian-Australasian flyway, as well as new approaches and methods in waterfowl research, conservation, and management, will be discussed by experts from many countries.
