501 CANARDS SAUVAGES[LIV].inddAre you looking for a duck themed Christmas present that would allow you to practice your French?! Erwan Balança, a professional wildlife photographer, has collaborated with Matthieu Guillemain, from the DSG and the Office National de la Chasse et de la Faune Sauvage, to produce a new book featuring 100+ superb duck pictures from around Europe, spanning from the misty lakes of western France to the Nordic breeding grounds of the Common Eider. Erwan has published or collaborated on several books on wildlife and wildlife photography, in addition to regular publications in wildlife magazines. He takes most of his photographs from floating hides, yielding stunning face-to-face images from the duck world. The texts describe the ecology of the ducks across the seasons, and also include a section presenting current research on waterfowl. The book is written for the general public and aims to be easily accessible. Hopefully it will stimulate the first steps for some new duck biologists…

Available from all regular e-shop websites and here.
